Chad Rose Memorial

Chad Rose, a man who deeply loved his family, friends, and Jesus, was the life of the party.  His spirited energy and sense of humor lit up every room he entered.  But his willingness to defend the mistreated truly set him apart.  His legacy of kindness and compassion continues to inspire everyone who knew him.

Thomas McVay Memorial

He went by Tom because it was shorter to spell.  Tom started at North Lamar in second grade and stayed through graduation.  In second grade, he joined the boy scouts and worked his way up to Eagle Scout at the age of 14.  He began band in the 6th grade and played in the sumphonic bands through high school where he was often fgirst or second chair.  In his spare time, he loved writing, espeically poetry.

Tyler Thompson Memorial

 

Tyler Thompson, born and raised in Paris, TX, was a young man with a deep love for the outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or spending hours on the golf course, he felt a strong connection to nature and the world around him. His passion for golf began at 10 years old and grew throughout his high school years, where he was known for his dedication, sportsmanship, and leadership. Tyler’s faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in everything he did. His love for his family and friends was evident in his every action, always putting others first and offering encouragement and support. A Texas Scholar and member of the NL Beta Club, his character shone brightly both on and off the course. Though his life was tragically cut short, Tyler’s love for golf, his family, his faith, and his friends, as well as the values he lived by, continue to inspire those who knew him, ensuring his legacy endures

Jeremy Dickey Memorial Scholarship

Jeremy was a kind-hearted young man who had a deep love for sports, especially baseball and basketball, and was a devoted Longhorn fan. He embraced the outdoors, cherishing every opportunity to hunt and fish with his family and friends. More than his athletic achievements, his true legacy lies in the kindness he showed to everyone—never seeing himself as just an athlete, but as a friend to all. Though his time on earth was brief, his impact continues through the endowment scholarship in his name, ensuring that his Panther pride and spirit of kindness live on forever.

Dr. Tommy Eads Memorial

Dr. Tommy Eads, a dedicated educator impacted thousands as a math and technology teacher at North Lamar High School, Fannindel High School, Paris Junior College, and multiple universities, while also serving as a national consultant for mathematics education. Recognized for his contributions, he received numerous teaching awards and played a key role in advancing math education through Texas Instruments workshops and national curriculum committees.

Judy Elizabeth Blease Memorial

 

Judy Blease was a hardworking single parent who tirelessly provided for her three children while working two jobs. Her legacy of dedication and resilience lives on through her family’s deep ties to North Lamar ISD—her daughter, Leanne Stone, and son-in-law, Roy Tom Stone, were both longtime coaches at NL, and most of her grandchildren, as well as a great-grandchild, either attended or are currently attending North Lamar. In her honor, the Judy Blease Scholarship supports North Lamar students continuing her commitment to hard work and perseverance.

Endowments

Endowments may be established in the name of an individual, family, business or industry.  Endowments are gifts of $5,000 or more which establish a separate fund within the Foundation.  Gifts from endowment are made from the interest earned and awarded in the name of the donor.
