As an alumni of North Lamar I knew there was nowhere I’d rather my kids go. I love that inclusion is very important on all campuses, and that students have so many opportunities to take advantage of. Our CTE department continues to give kids opportunities to jump straight into self sufficiency if college isn’t the path they choose. I’m proud to be a North Lamar Panther raising Panthers!

I transferred my oldest son to NLISD when he was beginning his middle school year. This is also when I enrolled my youngest child into kindergarten at Higgins. We have never had a single regret. My middle schooler was welcomed with open arms at Stone Middle school. It was as if he had always gone to school with these students. He instantly fell into a great friend group who encouraged him to participate in any and all things NL! My youngest thrived at Higgins. Fast forward 3 years later both of my children still attend and absolutely love their schools. They have both excelled academically & developed so much social confidence. Coincidentally, I was offered a teaching position at NL High School & I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision. If I could summarize NLISD culture in three words it would be “Community, Personality, Involved”. We are very much Panther Proud.

North Lamar is about community! The community that supported the wonderful new NL Intermediate building... the community of staff who are dedicated to supporting and caring for the students, teachers, and families... the community of teachers who nurture and empower our children... and the community of capable, connected students who will be and are ready to lead. We're proud to be Panthers!

Amy Anderson, NLHS Counselor

This is my fourth school year as a School Counselor for grades 9 and 10 at North Lamar High School, and I truly feel at home here. The staff has embraced me from the very start, making me feel like a valued member of the team. They have not only supported me but also mentored me, sharing their knowledge and wisdom to help me grow both professionally and personally. The collaborative spirit here is incredible, with everyone working together as a family toward common goals. Whether it's through daily interactions, guidance, or teamwork, it's clear that the staff is dedicated to each other's success and to creating an environment where everyone can thrive. The sense of belonging and unity at North Lamar makes it a place where I am proud to contribute and grow.

North Lamar ISD has amazing teachers that always strive to go the extra mile or in our case, MILES for their students! Mrs. Denman is my daughter, Joi Lamb’s, 2nd Grade teacher at Aaron Parker. She knows that Joi is so passionate about soccer! She plays on a travel soccer team for Sting East Texas. Mrs. Denman & her husband drove out to Sherman, TX to watch and support her over the weekend outside of school! NLISD is filled with teachers who go above & beyond for their students but Mrs. Denman truly cares and supports hers ??
